Aaron Hicks in phenomenal form: The reaction of players and coach

Aaron Hicks shows what was expected of him. Hicks played left-field and hit his first home run in nearly a year. He is in good shape and was happy after his team (Yankees) won 4: 0 in the match against Toronto
“Felt really good, especially to do it in the first at-bat,” Hicks said, as quoted by stargazette.

“I hit well, but I didn’t think it was going to go out. I thought maybe I might be able to get it off the wall or at least have a sacrifice fly”. His run came after he ended the top of the second with a leaping grab that robbed Matt Chapman of a hit.

After that, he had moved into left-center as the Yanks shifted into a four-man outfield for the at-bat. “[He] about gave me a heart attack there,” manager Aaron Boone said. “[The] four-man worked well there because we were well-positioned, but I think he misread it, and turned [it] into a good catch”.

Nestor Cortes

Nestor Cortes was of great help “He’s attacking the zone constantly, so you’re always ready for contact,” Hicks said on Cortes. “It makes playing defense a lot easier because you’re always prepared”.

DJ LeMahieu is happy for the Hicks. DJ LeMahieu is happy for the Hicks. Of course, a player like this will be of great benefit to his team. He is currently in phenomenal form and wants to take advantage of the momentum in which he finds himself.

“He looks like himself again,” said DJ LeMahieu Boone stressed how important Hicks ’form is to the team. “I feel like he’s still finding his way, but the good thing about it is, he’s getting on base,” Boone said of Hicks.

“[It’s] really good to see him go the other way right-handed, that’s something that’s in his game, especially here [at Yankee Stadium].
