San Diego Padres star Fernando Tatis Jr. appeared at the press after an incident he had a few weeks ago. Namely, Fernando Tatis tested positive for Clostebo. He will miss the remaining 48 regular-season games this year. Tatis has decided to apologize for the mistake he made and is aware of the damage he has done "I'm really sorry for my mistakes," he said, as quoted by foxsports.
"I've seen how my dreams have turned into my worst nightmares. There’s no other one to blame than myself. I haven’t made the right decisions in these past two weeks, month, even the start of the year. I made a mistake and I regret every single step I have taken." "There’s no excuses," he said.
"I need to do a way better job knowing what is going inside my body. I know I have a lot of love I have to gain back, and I have a lot of work to do,” he said. “It’s going to be a very long process to gain everybody’s trust”.
Machado on his teammate
Manny Machado, his colleague, supported Tatis and believes that anyone can make a similar mistake. The most important thing is that Tatis learns something from this and corrects the mistake “We’ve all made dumb mistakes that we regret,” said Manny Machado.
“But we’ve just got to move past it and learn from it and hold yourself accountable. Today, he came in here and spoke to the group, and said what he needed to say. At the end of the day, we’re all family here”.
Padres general manager A.J. Preller was disappointed after learning about the ban. "Obviously, everybody's very disappointed. Somebody that from the organization's standpoint we invested time and money into," Padres general manager A.J. Preller said . Now he has to serve his sentence.
