Noomi Rapace, the 42-year-old Swedish actress best-known for “The Girl with Dragon Tattoo,” and Jonathan Banks, the Saul Goodman’s fixer in “Better Call Saul,” have teamed up for an Apple TV+ psychological thriller. According to a statement released by Apple TV+ on Wednesday, the former Lisbeth Salander (Noomi Rapace) and the 75-year-old American actor Banks will lead a new drama series, “Constellation”. Besides, the Apple TV+ official website had stated that the psychological thriller would be a “conspiracy-based” run, where Rapace will play as Jo who will return to earth following a disaster in space “only to discover that key pieces of her life seem to be missing”. Apple TV+ has portrayed the storyline as “an exploration of the dark edges of human psychology, one woman’s desperate quest to expose the truth about the hidden history of space travel and for her to recover all that she has lost”.
Banks and Rapace team up on new Apple TV+ thriller Constellation
Apple TV+ also was quoted saying in an official announcement on Wednesday that the series’ storyline is being written by Peter Harness, best-known for his works in “Doctor Who” and “Wallander,” while the creator of “Breaking Bad” and “The Morning Show” Michelle McLaren will direct the TV show.
Aside from that, Harness and Mclaren will be executive producing the show, as Turbine Studios alongside Haul et Court TV will produce the series. Rapace is a well-known actress who played Lisbeth Salamander in Swedish films based on Larsson’s “Millennium” novels, while Banks has been a multiple Emmy Award nominee, whose first major break came forth on “Breaking Bad”.
Aside from that, Banks’ TV portfolios include “Castle”, “Community”, “Ringer” as well as “Modern Family” among others.
