Jason Momoa, the 43-year-old American actor and filmmaker, has been set to star the video game world of Minecraft for Warner Bros. , a press agency report has unveiled on Tuesday citing anonymous sources given the sensitivity of the issue.

According to a press agency report, the Hawaiian “Aquaman” and “Dune” star who began his career about two decades earlier with “Baywatch”, and sailed across a long-cherished voyage that has witnessed wide-ranging landscapes including the watery kingdom of Atlantis and the dangerous deserts of Dothraki Khalasar as depicted in the legendary epic “Game of Thrones” among others, has been in an advanced-staged talk to join a live-action movie based on an immensely popular video game, Minecraft, which happens to be the best-selling games of all times with nearly 240 million copies having been sold so far since its release back in the 2011.

In tandem, the press agency report was quoted sources familiar with the subject-matter as saying that the “Nacho Libre” and “Napoleon Dynamite” director Jared Hess, will be helming the movie, while Mary Parent and Roy Lee will co-produce.

Aside from that, Jill Messick will be offered with a posthumous credit for her works on the film prior to her death back in the 2018s. The Jason Momoa-starred live-action adventure, Minecraft, will be executive produced by Cale Boyter alongside Jon Spaihts, while Minecraft developer Mojang Studios, will be producing the movie via Lydia Winters as well as Vu Bui.

Jason Momoa’s next movie, “Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom,” has been set to release in the silver screens on March 17, 2023, as the Hawaiian has reportedly been preparing for “Fast and Furious 10”.
