Obi-Wan-Kenobi: Countdown with the NEW TRAILER

On the occasion of Star Wars Day, Disney has released online the new trailer of Obi-Wan Kenobi, the series that will arrive on Disney + on May 27th. The episodes, which will be released every Wednesday, with the first two scheduled for the premier on May 27, will total six.

The direction is entrusted to Deborah Chow, who also directed the series The Mandalorian of which the third season is expected for 2023. Obi-Wan, played by Ewan McGregor, will discuss with Owen Lars, played by Joer Edgerton, the fate of young Luke Skywalker.

Meanwhile, the army of Inquisitors, led by Darth Vader, prepares to annihilate what remains of the Jedi Order. The series is set 10 years after Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith. Anakin Skywalker went to the dark side, becoming Darth Vader, before being defeated and mutilated by his own fomer Master Jesi Obi Wan.

Hayden Christensen will play Darth Vader, a glimpse of which can be seen in this new trailer. Also in the cast are Moses Ingram, Joel Edgerton, Bonnie Piesse, Kumail Nanjiani, Indira Varma, Rupert Friend, O'Shea Jackson Jr., Sung Kang, Simone Kessell and Benny Safdie.

Plot and curiosity

The plot said: "The story begins 10 years after the dramatic events of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith, where Obi-Wan Kenobi faced his greatest defeat: the fall and corruption of his best friend and Jedi apprentice Anakin Skywalker, who he went to the dark side as the evil Sith Lord Darth Vader." McGregor said during an interview: "We find Obi-Wan at the beginning of our story quite broken, disheartened and defeated.

He gave up a little and seems to have lost his faith in the Force. He has changed a lot because of what happened at the end of the story. Episode III with Order 66. With the Jedi Order purged almost entirely, the Jedi who have been slaughtered and all the survivors who have gone into hiding.

After facing his personal failure, he feels the responsibility of allowing Anakin to to be tempted by the dark side. Perhaps his teachings weren't strong enough to protect Anakin from all of this. I think this obviously impacts him very heavily."
