Eva Mendes explains why she has not appeared in any film since 2014

Eva Mendes revealed why she has not appeared on the movie screen for eight years and shared what new rules follow for choosing film roles. Her last film role was in 2014 when she appeared in the directorial debut of her partner Ryan Gosling’s “Lost River”.

Speaking in an episode of The View on Tuesday (May 10th), Mendes commented on her absence from the screen, saying she had established new rules regarding her profession since becoming a mother. “I was still working; I just wasn’t acting ‘cause, as you know, acting can take up a lot of time,” Mendes said, adding: “So I took some time off from the film”.

Asked if she would consider returning, Mendes continued, “I have such a shortlist of what I will do. Like, before kids, I was kinda up for anything, you know, if it was a fun project. “But now I won’t do violence.

I don’t want to do se*uality. The list is short”. she explained She said she “hopes” to return to film and act if the project is “beautiful and clean,” saying Disney’s film would be “perfect”.

Mendes has two daughters with Gosling, with whom she began a relationship in 2011 after they met on the set of the 2012 film “The Place Beyond the Pines”.

Mendez speaks about not sharing photos of their family

“I have always had a clear boundary when it comes to my man and my kids.

I’ll talk about them of course, with limits, but I won’t post pictures of our daily life. She continued: “And since my children are still so little and don’t understand what posting their image really means, I don’t have their consent.

And I won’t post their image until they’re old enough to give me consent. As far as Ryan and I, it just works for us this way, to stay private”.
