Thor: Love and Thunder will be the new cinecomic coming out this summer, and part of phase 4 of the MCU, following Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and the Disney + Ms Marvel series. The DiscussingFilm site has released via Twitter a new image of Taika Waititi's film, where we see Valkyrie, played by Tessa Thompson and Jane Foster / Mighty Thor, played by Natalie Portman, side by side, who are the two main female protagonists of the film with Chris Hemsworth.

Thor: Love and Thunder, what we know

In Taika Waititi's Thor: Love and Thunder, the Norse God of Thunder will be in crisis after the events of Avengers: Endgame. As he wonders what to do with himself and his life, Gorr the Slaughterer of Gods, played by Christian Bale is on a war footing to keep his name and suppress all gods.

Thor must put aside his doubts and come up with a plan to stem it, with the help of his friends, especially Valkyrie now queen of Asgard, and Jane Foster, now Mighty Thor. The screenplay was written by Jennifer Kaytin Robinson and Taika Waititi, based on a story arc dedicated to the character by comic writer Jason Aaron, released between 2013 and 2014.

Cast: Thor, played by Chris Hemsworth: an Avenger and former king of Asgard. Valkyrie, played by Tessa Thompson: the new king of New Asgard, named by Thor himself. Jane Foster / Mighty Thor, played by Natalie Portman: an astrophysicist and ex-girlfriend of Thor who, while recovering from cancer, acquires powers similar to those of Thor.

Drax the Destroyer, played by Dave Bautista: a member of the Guardians, a warrior whose family was killed by Ronan, under the orders of Thanos.

Nebula, played by Karen Gillan: a member of the Guardians, orphaned from an alien world and trained by Thanos to be an assassin. Kraglin, played by Sean Gunn: Yondu's former first officer in the Ravagers and ally of the Guardians.

The Grand Master, played by Jeff Goldblum: one of the Ancients of the Universe and brother of the Collector, is the ruler of the planet Sakaar. Groot, voiced by Vin Diesel: a humanoid tree, very good friend of Rocket. Rocket, voiced by Bradley Cooper: A genetically engineered raccoon, expert in the use of weapons and tactics of war.

Taika Waititi reprises the role of Korg from previous films while Matt Damon, Sam Neill and Luke Hemsworth reprise the role of the actors already played in Thor: Ragnarok, to which is added Melissa McCarthy who plays a fake Hela and Ben Falcone in an unknown role.
