Starz’s “Outlander” prequel has been finally propelling forward as the show has received its official title, while Starz also has unveiled a first look into the plot of the show. Nonetheless, a press agency report had revealed back in the February this year that the show had been on a developmental phase. According to latest Starz statement, the show would be titled as “Outlander: Blood of My Blood”. Storyline of the “Outlander” prequel will encircle around a love story between Jamie Fraser’s parents. On top of that, Diana Gabaldon, whose novel had been the framework of original “Outlander,” would act as a consulting producer of the series.

Meanwhile, expressing an out and out optimism over the TV series, president of original programming at Starz, Kathryn Busby said, “Outlander’ is a riveting show that from season to season has captured the hearts of its fans around the world.
We are excited to peel back the layers of this vibrant world to bring our audience the origin of where it all began. Matthew, Maril and Ronald will continue to bring their excellent vision and creativity to this new iteration, and we can’t wait to see what happens next”.
Nevertheless, Ronald D Moore, who had created the original “Outlander,” would executive produce the series alongside Maril Davis under their pennant, Tall Ship Productions. An eight-episode season six of “Outlander” made its debut back in March this year, while the series’ seventh season has reportedly been in a developmental stage.
Sixth season of “Outlander” is based on a book “A Breath of Snow and Ashes,” while the seventh season will be based on a novel, “An Echo in the Bone”.
