MMA fighters in acting ranks are not something we are just starting to see. Various examples have been appearing for many years, and the most famous is certainly Gina Carano, who devoted herself entirely to acting and left sports.

There are also Valentina Shevchenko, Michael Bisping, Ronda Rousey, "Rampage" Jackson, and many other examples. Recently, it was revealed that Daniel Cormier will also have his role in the series, which will be filmed based on the famous movie Warrior.

It was Cormier who revealed how another fighter will step into the acting world. Namely, during the "show" that the UFC aired for its UFC 277 event, Cormier shared the good news regarding Kamaru Usman. The UFC welterweight champion will get a role in the upcoming sequel to the famous Marvel movie "Black Panther".

The sequel called "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever" should be released this year, on November 11 (the 11th month). It can be assumed that Usman has already completed his duties, and it is currently unknown what his role will be in that film.

By the way, this is a film whose trademark is Chadwick Boseman. Unfortunately, Boseman passed away from colon cancer in 2020, and the new sequel will honor his legacy.

The official plot synopsis for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever reads:

"Queen Ramonda, Shuri, M’Baku, Okoye, and the Dora Milaje fight to protect their nation from intervening world powers in the wake of King T’Challa’s death.

As the Wakandans strive to embrace their next chapter, the heroes must band together with the help of War Dog Nakia and Everett Ross and forge a new path for the kingdom of Wakanda." The first trailer of this film was released this past weekend, and the cast had an emotional moment on stage after the trailer was released.

Director Ryan Coogler addressed the audience with the following words: "I promise you I can feel his hand on me now. Chad is no longer with us physically, but his spirit, his passion, his genius, his pride, his culture, and the impact that he made on this industry will be felt forever.

We put our love for Chadwick into this film." This is a great honor for Kamaru Usman in any case, but before the official release of the film, he still has to defend his welterweight title. On August 20, he will fight Leon Edwards, and the British fighter will do his best to prevent Usman from seeing his acting debut as the UFC welterweight champion.
