House of the Dragon, the new Game of Thrones prequel and spin-off series, is getting closer and closer to release and the producers are now advertising the new series in Times Square with a beautiful 3D animated billboard.
In the giant poster there are animated dragons that seem to come out of the billboard itself. House of the Dragon official Twitter account writes: "Dragons have landed in Times Square." The billboard then reminds us that the premiere is scheduled for August 21, 2022.
In the cast Matt Smith will be Daemon Targaryen, while Emma D'Arcy and Milly Alcockwill be Rhaenyra Targaryen. The synopsis of the plot reads: "Based on the novel Fire and Blood by George R.R. Martin, the highly anticipated HBO series is set 200 years before the events mentioned in Game of Thrones and tells the story of House Targaryen, bringing the intrigues to the stage, the betrayals and clashes that will lead to the bloody war of succession known as the Dance of the Dragons.
" About the plot: "Viserys I Targaryen is the fifth king of the Seven Kingdoms. He is known as a warm, kind and honest man, chosen by a Council of Lords to succeed his grandfather Jaehaerys I Targaryen. Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen is the eldest daughter of King Viserys, is a dragon rider and expects to become the first reigning queen of the Seven Kingdoms; sadly for her, her appointment is questioned by her younger half-brother, Aegon II Targaryen and by Prince Daemon Targaryen, presumed heir to the Throne of Spade and younger brother of Viserys, uncle of Rhaenyra, an unrivaled warrior and dragon-riding expert wielding the steel sword of Valyria called the Dark Sister, given to him by Jaehaerys."

Lady Alicent Hightower is played by Olivia Cooke. She is the daughter of Ser Otto Hightower, she grew up in the Red Keep and part of the inner circle of the king. She is known as the most beautiful woman of the Seven Kingdoms.
King Viserys I Targaryen is played by Paddy Considine. Fifth king of the Seven Kingdoms. Known as warm, kind, and honest, Viserys was chosen by the council of lords to succeed his grandfather, Jaehaerys I Targaryen. Lord Corlys Velaryon, played by Steve Toussaint.
Known as the Sea Serpent, he is the head of House Velaryon and the most famous navigator in the history of Westeros. Princess Rhaenys Velaryon is played by Eve Best. Wife of Lord Corlys, she rides a dragon named Meleys. Known as the Queen Who Never Was, she was nominated to succeed her grandfather, King Jaehaerys, as ruler of the Seven Kingdoms, but she was ignored in favor of her cousin Viserys.
Ser Criston Cole is played by Fabien Frankel. A skilled swordsman of the Dornish Marches, he is the son of the administrator of the Lord of Blackhaven.
Mysaria is portrayed by Sonoya Mizuno. Dancer originally from Lys who becomes Prince Daemon's lover.
Ser Otto Hightower is played by Rhys Ifans. Father of Alicent, Hand of the King, serving King Viserys and the kingdom. He is a relentless political rival of Prince Daemon.
