Disney delays “Blade,” “Fantastic Four,” “Secret Wars” and more Marvel movies

Late on Wednesday, Disney has issued a statement saying that the studio has made a sweeping overhaul of its schedule, while as part of the schedule, a wide array of Marvel projects including “Fantastic Four,” “Blade” alongside “Deadpool 3” will be delayed.

According to Disney’s statement released late on Wednesday, release of “Blade” will be shifted from November 3, 2023 to September 6, 2024, which in effect would create a ripple effect on the studio’s schedule for other Marvel movies.

Marvel Cinematic Universe’s “Deadpool 3” will be reshuffled from September 6, 2024 to November 8, 2024, while “Fantastic Four” will be delayed to February 14, 2025 from an earlier release date of November 8, 2024.

Aside from that, an untitled Marvel film also has been shifted from February 14, 2025 to November 7, 2025. Besides, as a delayed release in “Blade” has created a mass-scale chaos in Disney’s schedule, “Avengers: Secret Wars” would be delayed from November 7, 2025 to May 1, 2026.

On top of that, another untitled MCU film which was due to release on May 1, 2026, has been erased from Disney’s calendar.

In tandem, among non-comic book super-hero genre, Searchlight’s historical drama “Chevalier” that would star Kelvin Harrison as the musician de Saint-Georges, has been set to release on the big screens on April 7, 2023.

Concomitantly, “Kingdom of the Planet of Apes” has received a release date of May 24, 2024, while a thriller, “A Haunting in Venice” would be made available on silver screen from September 15, 2023.
