As a sequel to 2020’s “Wonder Woman 1984” of Patty Jenkins had stopped production with a potential “Man of Steel II” in peril, questions were raised over recent past on whether Warner Bros have been hitting the reboot button.

In the matter of fact, the new DC chiefs Gunn alongside Safran would likely to unveil their new strategy next week, while the future of DC’s adaptation of Discovery Chief Zaslav is expected to be unenveloped. If truth is to be told, latest decision from Warner Bros to put a sequel of “Wonder Woman 1984” on hold, came against the backdrop of a mass-scale theatrical loss from “Black Adams”.

The film featuring Dwayne Johnson in a negative role who had pledged to alter the balance the power in DC universe, appeared to be losing further grounds in a sleepy hollow ahead of the release of “Avatar 2”.

Aside from that, as “Avatar” sequel “Avatar: The Way of Water” is expected to gross way over the original during the holiday season, industry analysts had forecasted a whacking $200 million theatrical loss in Black Adams.

Will Warner Bros., DC hit the reboot button

Looking inside the sequel of “Wonder Woman 1984,” a source had quoted as saying in condition of anonymity that Jenkins had delivered a draft for a third “Wonder Woman,” which both Gunn and Safran had rejected.

However, surprisingly, earlier this week, “Wonder Woman” star Gal Gadot had posted in a social media she couldn’t await the next “Wonder Woman” adding, “ (I am) so grateful for the opportunity to play such an incredible, iconic character and can’t wait to share her next chapter with you,” stoking widespread speculation on what could be next for Warner Bros universe what Snyder had to create from the scratch.
