Chris Rock Going Live on Netflix
“Chris Rock is one of the most iconic and important comedic voices of our generation. We’re thrilled the entire world will be able to experience a live Chris Rock comedy event and be part of Netflix history.
This will be an unforgettable moment and we’re so honored that Chris is carrying this torch”. said Robbie Praw, Netflix's vice president of stand-up and comedy formats. The streaming service launched a similar idea with its live comedy event "Netflix is a Joke: The Festival" in the spring of 2022.

In addition to his successful career, Rock is also known for his controversial jokes, which have sparked backlash and criticism at times. One such instance occurred at the last Oscars ceremony, where Rock made jokes about Will Smith's wife, Jada Pinkett Smith.
In response, Smith reportedly slapped Rock, causing a stir on social media and making headlines. Despite the controversy, Rock's talent and influence as a comedian cannot be denied. He has won numerous awards and accolades throughout his career, including four Emmy Awards and three Grammy Awards. He has also been named one of the 100 greatest stand-up comedians of all time by Comedy Central.
