There is still a great deal of interest among filmmakers about the love story between Elvis and Priscilla Presley. In light of last year's film "Elvis" in which we were introduced to the rise of Presley, as well as his love of life, Elvis is back on the big screen once again, this time from the point of view of his wife Priscilla.

As it happens, Sofia Coppola is in the middle of finishing her new film "Priscilla" which is based on the memoir "Elvis and I" from 1985. Jacob Elordi, of "Euphoria", and Cailee Spaeny, of "Mare from Easttown", will portray the famous couple.

This movie has just had a trailer released, and it is scheduled for release in October, according to People magazine. -When teenage Priscilla Beaulieu meets Elvis Presley at a party, the man who was already a rock and roll superstar becomes someone completely different in private moments: in love, ally in loneliness, vulnerable best friend.

In this deeply lived and ravishingly detailed portrait of love, fantasy and fame, Sofia Coppola explores the untold side of the great American myth, Elvis' long courtship and turbulent marriage, from a German military base to Graceland, according to an A24 press release.

Elvis

"Elvis" was one of the biggest hits of last year directed by Baz Luhrmann. In his performance as Elvis, Austin Butler received unreserved praise from the critics, but now Priscilla, who is 79 years old, is also satisfied with Austin Butler's performance.

In Sofia Coppola's opinion, the previous film and her upcoming one will not be the same because Luhrmann did not dive into Priscilla's story the way she did with her new film. - I think Baz is unique and the story was very creative.

But Priscilla is such a minor character in that movie, so I never felt like I was treading the same territory. I love that people were so interested in his movie about Elvis, and now the second movie is coming, about Priscilla, and I think it will be interesting to have two completely different interpretations of the same events and time period, said the director.
