As the holiday season approaches, moviegoers are already setting their sights on the 2024 holiday lineup, with particular anticipation for 'Red One.' This action-packed Christmas film, starring Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Chris Evans, is poised to bring a fresh twist to the holiday genre.

A Unique Holiday Adventure Awaits

'Red One,' produced by Amazon Studios, is slated for a theatrical release on November 15, 2024, just in time for the Thanksgiving holiday. Described by The Hollywood Reporter as a "globe-trotting, four-quadrant action-adventure comedy," the film promises to offer a new universe within the holiday genre.

This ambitious project aims to transcend traditional entertainment boundaries, potentially impacting multiple industries and businesses. Directed by Jake Kasdan from a script by Chris Morgan, 'Red One' is produced by a team including Kasdan, Morgan, Johnson, Hiram Garcia, Melvin Mar, and Dany Garcia.

Sky Salem Robinson from The Detective Agency also co-produced the film. Alongside Johnson and Evans, the movie features a star-studded cast, including Kiernan Shipka, J.K. Simmons, and Lucy Liu.

Chris Evans on His First Christmas Movie Experience

In a conversation with ComicBook.com, Chris Evans shared his excitement about venturing into the Christmas movie genre for the first time.

"I've been in this industry for too long, but I've never seen a Christmas movie come across my lap," Evans said. His decision to join 'Red One' was driven by the script's appeal and his admiration for Dwayne Johnson's talent and charm.

Evans also praised director Jake Kasdan, describing the film's script as "really funny."

Evans' experience on set was nothing short of magical. "Every day was Christmas, and when it wrapped I was like 'Aww,'" he recounted.

His initial concerns about the project potentially diminishing his enjoyment of the holiday season were quickly dispelled, as he found the filming experience to be one of the best in his career.
