Cobra Kai 5: rumors and curiosities

When is Cobra Kai 5 released? The season on NETFLIX is expected in 2022 but the official release date has yet to be announced. Filming ended in 2021 and all that remains is to wait for NETFLIX to release the new episodes on its streaming platform.

What happened in season 4

Cobra Kai season 4 ended with Miguel leaving the All Valley tournament to go in search of the biological father he never knew. The season, the plot of the season, rather, starts from Miguel's journey.

The protagonist's decision to look for his father surprised and shocked in particular his sensei Johnny Lawrence, who was something of a father figure for the boy. Falco had won the men's tournament against Robbie, while Tori had defeated Samantha LaRusso, with the complicity of the referee, paid for by Terry Silver.

The same Silver had then arrested his partner John Kreese for the beating of Parsnip, done by the same Silver to frame his former partner. Also important is the evolution of Tori, which seems to be heading towards redemption, as well as the reconciliation between Johnny Lawrance and his son Robbie.

Daniel LaRusso has promised he will not give up and will collaborate with Chozen to eliminate the Cobra Kai once and for all. The screenwriter Jon Hurwitz spoke a few days ago about the future of Miguel in Cobra Kai 5, revealing to the fans some advances on the character after the events of the fourth season, which debuted on Netflix last December 31st.

Hurwitz in reference to this twist in Cobra Kai's plot, said: "One of the main themes of the Karate Kid franchise, and certainly Cobra Kai as well, is the relationship between mentors and students, between parents and children.

Miguel, we've been talking about the father since the beginning of the series. We always felt that sooner or later we would explore Miguel's origins and the identity of his father."
