Texas (Motor Speedway) will be the next challenge for NASCAR drivers. Much is expected from William Byron, who showed his quality in the playoffs. He is excited for the next race in Texas, which is one of the most important. Byron seems optimistic given his previous experiences there.
“I’m interested to see how racing at Texas (Motor Speedway) goes this weekend. We’ve always had speed there but I think in the spring we just were a little off on our setup since it was the first time at Texas in the Next Gen car,” William Byron said.
Byron emphasized what his team must work on the most, but the latest results and his form give optimism to both the team and him that they can achieve great success this season. It's noticeable how far his team has progressed, and they don't intend to stop there.
“Our mile-and-a-half program is the one I think we needed to work on the most this season but I think, especially after Kansas (Speedway) a few weeks ago, that we’ve really improved on those styles of tracks,” William Byron added.
Texas race
Needless to say, what will be the goal of his team. Byron will fight for the very top, and his motivation and self-confidence give hope that he can achieve a good result. It will not be easy, given that there are still many quality drivers, and that the season is unpredictable.
However, Byron can do a lot. “With how these round shapes up there’s a lot of emphasis on Texas and leaving there with as many points as possible and that will be our goal, just like how we did last round. As long as we have a good Saturday, I think we’ll be in a good place for the race, and then it’s all about execution on Sunday,” William Byron explained.
