Dale Earnhardt Jr on Chicago Street Race: I’m anxious to see how that goes

Chicago Downtown enters the NASCAR calendar from July 2023. Many are pessimistic and believe that it will be a failure, but there are also those who are excited about this. Dale Earnhardt Jr. is impatient about this race, and his anxiety is at its peak.

However, he looks forward to these kinds of things and expects a lot. “I think it’s absolutely something we need to try and you know it’s just I’m anxious to see how that goes. I think this car is built for stuff like that.

So, it’s probably going to be entertaining and challenging for the drivers. It’d be nice to see them in a new you know environment that they are unfamiliar with,” Dale Earnhardt Jr. said.

Protest

He referred to the protest from the local Art Museum against the event.

Earnhardt Jr laughed about such things “I laughed when I heard about that. I might have even said something on Twitter about it. This is the part about the Chicago Street course that is sort of bugging me a little bit.

It’s like, a lot of people in Chicago are not happy or excited about it,” says Dale Earnhardt Jr. The reactions of the citizens were not positive. Most are not optimistic and do not expect positive things. It is difficult to know what can happen and whether it will be the right choice.

NASCAR is trying to implement various things that could be an additional factor of excitement for fans and drivers. “They’re kind of like, ‘Well, I don’t know if this is going to be a good thing or not.

They’re not really embracing it, at least in the media that you read about. It’s just a sort of stream of concern and I don’t know what to think about that,” added Dale Earnhardt Jr.
