Denny Hamlin defends Ross Chastain: Other drivers trigger his aggressiveness

Ross Chastain is one of the main topics in the NASCAR scene at the moment. His aggressiveness is causing a huge amount of reactions, and many people are wondering when Chastain will be punished for his aggressive behavior. There is still no sign of a reaction from NASCAR's executives as of yet.

It is things like this that lead to anger and frustration among the fans, as well as among the drivers. However, Denny Hamlin, on the other hand, despite having already had several conflicts with Chastain, seems to think that maybe Chastain has already been punished as a result of his actions.

Hamlin defended Ross, which is what is strange about all this.
“People are thinking, ‘Well, when’s someone gonna do something with Chastain or whatever?’ Maybe they are, and we just aren’t seeing it.

Maybe people aren’t cutting him as much room as they would normally. Which is resulting in these contacts happening,” -Denny Hamlin said.

In Hamlin's opinion, Ross has all the qualities required to become a dominant player.

“As fast as he is – he’s upfront every week – as stellar is his pit crew is, he should be winning more,”. Denny is aware of the fact that other drivers are driving aggressively now, and it may have an effect on Chastain, who will probably respond in a similar manner.

“Perhaps if he was on the better side of some of the drivers, he would get a break here and there and his races would go a little less confrontational …You cut me a break, so come on by.’ So, there’s not as much give and take probably with him.

Guys are gonna race him more aggressively, which in turn, he races aggressively…I’m just saying it might not be a coincidence,” -Hamlin added.
