The Chicago street race is one of the most anticipated events of the year for both NASCAR fans and drivers alike. There is no way of predicting what will happen in this race since Xfinity and Cup drivers are both set to make their debuts in Street Course Racing.
This is a chance for Ross Chastain to continue on his good form and achieve a good result. Apparently, he doesn't seem to be worried as much as others do, as he seems to be very confident that he will succeed as well. “I could very easily drive it into the tire barriers about every corner if I’m not careful.
I’ve done that on the simulator quite a bit. You make the brake zone by just a few feet, and there’s no run-off. Yes, I want points and I want to win, but I’m more looking at it from the big picture of us as a whole, and if it elevates all of us, it’ll pay off for me in the long run,” Ross Chastain said.
Daniel Suarez on Chicago Street Race
Daniel Suarez is one of the drivers from whom much is expected. There is a lot of excitement about this type of race and the Mexican believes that it will be a real spectacle to watch!
Considering the fact that everything is a big unknown, it is difficult to determine a favorite among the contestants. As the race draws closer and closer, we will be able to see who is ready for the biggest challenges, and who is not.
“I think it is going to be one of the greatest events in NASCAR’s 75-year history! Nobody knows how the racing will turn out, but as an event, I think it is going to be incredible. We just need to get time on the track, and we’ll see how the race plays out. I suspect it’s going to be pretty crazy, which the fans usually love,” Daniel Suarez said.
