Kevin Love explains why he felt Kobe Bryant was bringing most buzz to NBA games

Kevin Love says he has nothing but a great level of respect for LeBron James but reveals it was Kobe Bryant who used to cause the biggest response and the most buzz to NBA games. Love, who currently plays for the Cleveland Cavaliers, came to the NBA in 2008 and he went against Bryant numerous times.

When Love was drafted by the Minnesota Timberwolwes, he would felt the "different buzz" in the city when Bryant's Lakers would be in town. According to Love, even if it was a "soft Tuesday in Minneapolis," there would be a strong buzz if Bryant was in town.

“100% Kobe,” Love said on The Ask Gary Vee Show. “No disrespect to Bron cause he brings them out too. There’s that energy in the gym, you’re getting everybody’s best game. Your whole mindset shifts too when you get on a team like that.

But we were a superteam expected to have the potential to win a championship. But when I first got into the league, Kobe Bryant, it didn’t matter if it was a soft Tuesday in Minneapolis, Kobe’s bringing them out.

There’s a buzz in the city that Kobe is there”.

Love played with Bryant on the USA team

Love and Bryant never teamed up in the NBA but they did spend some time together on the USA basketball team. Love was a part of the USA team that won the gold medal at the 2010 FIBA World Championships and he also helped Team USA win the gold at the 2012 Tokyo Olympics.

Love enjoyed success with Bryant on Team USA, while he enjoyed success with James during their time together in Cleveland. In 2016, the Cavaliers famously recovered from a 1-3 NBA Finals deficit to beat the Golden State Warriors. Love and James played a key role in bringing Cleveland its first NBA championship.
