(WATCH) President Biden Forgets Name of Klay Thompson at White House Visit

The President of the United States, Joe Biden, recently hosted the Golden State Warriors, the current champions of the NBA, at the White House. However, one incident during the visit has caused much attention and raised some eyebrows.

During his speech, President Biden referred to the team's "Big Three" players, Stephen Curry, Draymond Green, and Klay Thompson, but he struggled to recall Thompson's name. "The team around the big three Steph [Curry], Draymond [Green], and… Well, you guys are incredible.

I mean, you add up to 72 feet? They're amazing. I swear to God you're incredible," Biden said in his speech. The incident has caused some to question whether the President was fully aware of who the players were.

Despite the slip-up, President Biden praised the Warriors for their achievements, calling them "one of the great sports teams of our time" and praising their style of play, saying that they "reflect America" with their "constant motion, with individual freedom and personality that comes together as one team, a team that plays with joy, with drive to be their best." The Golden State Warriors, led by the "Big Three" of Curry, Green, and Thompson, won their fourth championship title last season, beating the Boston Celtics in the finals by a score of 4-2.

"It's something we don't ever take for granted. Seven years ago, we were here last celebrating our first championship," Stephen Curry said. "Now we're back here celebrating our fourth. To have this opportunity to reflect on this accomplishment last year, to bring everybody together to celebrate that, and to also acknowledge that sports bring people together from all walks of life, and backgrounds to provide inspiration, love, and togetherness.

That's what our journey was last year. To have the opportunity to celebrate that means a lot to us.", Stephen Curry thanked President Biden and his staff for bringing WNBA All-Star Brittney Griner back to the U.S. from Russian captivity.

"It means a lot to know that she's here and home safe with her family," Curry said. Team Performance The Golden State Warriors, who are considered one of the best teams in the league, have been struggling this season. They have a record of 22 wins and 22 losses and are currently in the 6th place in the Western Conference.
