Los Angeles Lakers' Russell Westbrook: Nobody actually cares about our problems

Los Angeles Laker star guard Russell Westbrook says nobody cares about the problems with which the Lakers have to deal with it as people from the outside only look at wins and losses. The Lakers, who have one of the oldest rosters in the NBA, have been constantly changing lineups throughout the season.

Constant injuries and COVID-19 protocols force Lakers to often change lineups. Being forced to constantly change lineups is never good and the Lakers know it very well. The Lakers currently own a disappointing 24-27 record.

The Lakers entered the season as a top favorite for the NBA title but now are battling for a playoff spot.

Westbrook: We have to adjust and try to win games

“It is what it is,” Westbrook said, according to TalkBasket.

“Nobody, as much as people don’t want to talk about it, the reality of it is happening and you have to adjust and that’s reality. “But nobody actually cares about that anyway. It just matters if we win the game or not no matter who’s in the lineup or who’s not.

That’s how we got to look at it. “Unfortunately, we don’t know some nights who’s in who’s out. And that’s for me you just kind of got to focus on what I can control. That’s what I try to do”.

The Lakers have been without superstar LeBron James for the past couple of games. The Lakers dropped their third straight game after losing to the Atlanta Hawks on Sunday. "We're not in the position we want to be right now but that's OK," Westbrook said after the loss to the Hawks.

"We know what we need to do as a team. Just find a way to get over the hump and close games out." The Lakers went all in the offseason when they traded for Westbrook. The Lakers were and are still hoping the trio of Westbrook, James and Anthony Davis will bring them a title.
