Los Angeles Lakers' Anthony Davis: Carmelo Anthony has been a great help

Los Angeles Lakers big man Anthony Davis says Carmelo Anthony has been there for him ever since he signed with the Lakers this summer. Anthony, 37, is one of the most experienced players in the NBA and also one of the most accomplished players from his generation.

“He’s been great, he’s been helping me all year, especially in the post,” Davis said of Anthony, according to TalkBasket. “He’s been a dominant post player his whole career and now he’s here and he’s helped me with double-teams and moves and things like that.

“But he’s always talking, he’s always talking to me, to the guys about what he sees on the floor, what he thinks we should do, what we should be running. “And he’s been great for us. His shot-making ability has been off the charts.

He’s came here and he’s playing extremely well for us. I saw something and I was gonna stretch before the game his last two he was I think two, one for ten or two for ten from three and it just like surprised me.

I’m like ‘That was strange, I never noticed that.’ “And then he comes out tonight on fire. His play-making, his shot-making ability has been great for us. It gets the crowd into it, it gets our team into it especially when he’s got it gets everybody going”.

Davis, Anthony lead the Lakers to a win

On Wednesday night, the Lakers beat the Portland Trail Blazers 99-94. Davis scored a game-high 30 points, while Anthony added 24. “Honestly, I can’t explain that,” Anthony said.

“It’s hard to get you to understand that, no disrespect, like if you haven’t ever felt that, it’s hard to tell you what zone that is or what it feels like out there on the court. “It’s a good feeling.

Things are just clicking, things are going the right way, everything feels like it’s a line and it’s not just in the game, the whole day just felt I was floating today. “I don’t know why but it was just one of those days, you wake up, you feel good.

Maybe rested from the long road trip that could have helped too. But also understanding the implications of our games now and that we have to step up and we have to go try to win these games”.
