2 NFL former coaches join Brian Flores in his racial discrimination suit

Miami Dolphins head coach Brian Flores caused a real shock in the NFL world when he decided to file a lawsuit against the NFL for racial discrimination. But now the situation is even more ‘hot’, as Former Arizona Cardinals head coach Steve Wilks and Ray Horton have joined Flores in a lawsuit against the NFL.

Lawsuit says: "This class-action lawsuit was and remains long overdue," the lawsuit says, as quoted by npr. "The NFL — left to its own devices to police itself — has continually failed to address the massive imbalance and underrepresentation of Black coaches and executives." Npr reports that the complaint says Wilks was hired as a "bridge coach" and did not have the tools to succeed.

Ray Horton on Titans' coach

Ray Horton complained that the Titans had hired a coach before and that the interview was just a formality, given that things had already been resolved earlier. Namely, the new coach was to become Mike Mularkey who give a statement in 2020: "The team told me I was going to be the head coach in 2016, before they went through the Rooney Rule.

And so I sat there knowing I was the head coach in 2016, as they went through this fake hiring process knowing a lot of the coaches that they were interviewing, knowing how much they prepared to go through those interviews, knowing that everything they could do and they had no chance to get that job."
"I regret it, 'cause I pride myself and my kids first to do the right thing, and I always said that to the players.

And here I am the head guy not doing it, and I regretted it since then." We will see if these accusations turn out to be true, and there is a lot of truth in everything. Still, let’s wait for the court and the final word. Justice should win!
