Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady reveals former Pro Bowl cornerback Nate Clements delivered the most brutal hit on him. Brady, 44, has been in the NFL for 22 seasons and during a conversation with J.J. Watt he was asked if he could name the most brutal hit he has received.

Not only that Brady was able to name it, he perfectly remembered every detail. In 2001 - when Brady was playing his first year as the New England Patriots' quarterback - he took a strong hit from then the Buffalo Bills cornerback Clements.

"Nate Clements," Brady said when asked who delivered the hit, via CBS Sports. "I was running, I was like one-yard behind the line of scrimmage, I slid late. My helmet went about 10 yards back."

Brady un-retired this offseason

After spending just 40 days in retirement, Brady decided to return for his 23rd season.

Brady, who will turn 45 in August, was asked whether he had been ready to ready. "Partly, you know, yes," Brady answered. "And I think when you're their [Mahomes' and Allen's] age, if you were to ask me, 'Are you going to play football next year?' I would say there's a 100% chance I'm playing.

And I think as I've gotten older, that's changed because I have other responsibilities. So the responsibilities are many people taking care of me and things that I have off the field that are really important to me like my family, my kids; my wife's done an amazing job of that.

That's a big commitment from her, so it's harder when you get older. I don't even think they know what's coming. Aaron [Rodgers] knows these things because your life gets bigger as we all do, our life gets more full -- there's more responsibilities." Brady helped the Buccaneers win the Super Bowl in 2020, before they lost in the divisional round this past season.
