Davante Adams draws similarities between Derek Carr, Aaron Rodgers

Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams has voiced some belief in his new quarterback as he insists he sees some similarities between Derek Carr and Aaron Rodgers. After eight years with the Green Bay Packers, Adams decided to leave reigning NFL MVP Rodgers and sign with the Raiders.

For many years, Adams and Rodgers were an absolute nightmare for NFL defenses. This offseason, Rodgers was contemplating what to do with his future. In the end, Rodgers decided to stay with the Packers and sign a three-year extension.

Just when the Packers fans thought all of their problems were resolved, Adams decided to leave the team and sign with the Raiders.

Adams sees some similarities between Carr and Rodgers

"As far as talent and ability, it's really similar, if I'm keeping it real," Adams said, via the NFL website.

"They throw the ball a lot different. Derek's gonna fire it in there, and you gonna know that thing's coming quick. Aaron's got the ability to tighten that core up and flick that ball to you. So the release is a lot different, but being able to get the ball to you late, if they see you coming out of a break, not many quarterbacks can get it to you before you get to the sideline if you're outside the numbers already.

Having two guys like that with really strong arms, and understand the game, the mental part of it, is another similarity that they have. They both obsess over it and they know everything that's going on out there."

Adams and Carr played college football together at Fresno State and they have had a good relationship ever since. Adams is still in his prime, while Carr enjoyed his best season last year. Adams has been one of the best wide receiver for over the past few years and he is confident he can put up big numbers with Carr as his quarterback.
