Former Dallas Cowboys star Dez Bryant is urging Ja Morant to avoid "dumb s---" because he cannot now allow himself to mess up his career after working extremely hard to get to this point. After a Friday night game in Denver, Memphis Grizzlies star Morant was seen displaying a gun on his Instagram Live.
Morant's video from a nightclub quickly went viral and the Grizzlies reacted by suspending their star for at least two games. “If you know and love @JaMorant put your arms around him and tell him the truth. Ja you got a special ability them other n----- around you don’t, and if the n----- around you loved you, it’s no way you would be flashing that gun.
I don’t care if you was to say it’s no foul play to having that gun on your live that’s a no go! It’s kids especially black kids with dreams living in poverty who love basketball trying to make it out, you are special boss, f--- that dumb s---.
You are a role model regardless if you see it or not, your name hold weight. Make peace with whatever problems you are dealing with and elevate. All love on this end,” Bryant wrote.

Bryant urges Morant to avoid 'dumb s---'
After the Grizzlies announced their decision to suspend Morant, the star guard released a statement, in which he accepted the team's decision.
Also in his message, Morant vowed to learn from the situation and do better next time. "I take full responsibility for my actions last night. I'm sorry to my family, teammates, coaches, fans, partners, the city of Memphis and the entire Grizzlies organization for letting you down.
I'm going to take some time away to get help and work on learning better methods of dealing with stress and my overall well-being," Morant said in his statement. It remains to be seen for how long will Morant be suspended.
