Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins is praising Joe Burrow for thinking about his teammates while negotiating a new deal with the Bengals. This week, Burrow confirmed that he and the Bengals are having talks regarding his new deal.
Also, Burrow noted he is not thinking only about himself as he suggested he will sign a contract that will also allow the Bengals to sign other Bengals players to an extension. Higgins, who is in the final year of his rookie season, called Burrow "a leader" for showing once again that he is putting his team first.
“Means a lot having a leader like him looking out for guys like us. Obviously we talk about staying together for the long run. Hopefully, we can do that and get something negotiated to where they can keep all three of us," Burrow told The Athletic, as revealed on Pro Football Talk.

Burrow is one of the best young quarterbacks in the league and it was just a matter time before the Bengals started negotiating a massive extension with the star quarterback. "I'm involved.
That's in the works. That's not really something that I like to play out in the media. Just the way I think they want to do business, I want to do business, we prefer to keep that between us. I'm pretty clear on what I want in the contract and what I think is best for myself and the team.
So we're on the road to making that happen," Burrow said this week. Burrow is a superstar but he knows he needs to be surrounded by other great players in order to win. "It doesn't matter how good your quarterback is. If you don't have good players around him, you're not going to be a very good team," Burrow noted.
