Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tyler Boyd has showed major respect for Los Angeles Rams cornerback Jalen Ramsey. The Bengals have one of the best wideout corps in the NFL but the Rams have probably the best cornerback in the NFL.
Many think Ramsey is the best cornerback in the NFL and Boyd agrees with that claim. Bengals rookie wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase is having an outstanding rookie season and he is already considered as one of the best wideouts in thel NFL.
The Rams will likely place Ramsey to cover Chase. "I think he's definitely probably the best cornerback in the NFL," Boyd said of Ramsey, per ESPN. "He's a great player and he understands his assignments, he understands how to play football and he does a great job of doing that.
So, we've got to be at our best -- any one of us -- when we go out there and line up in front of him to figure out ways to win our matchup."
The Rams confident in Ramsey
Rams defensive coordinator Raheem Morris said he would put Ramsey on anybody in the history of the game.
The Rams haven't confirmed that Ramsey will indeed cover Chase but it would be a major surprise if Ramsey was placed to cover any other Bengals wideout. "Jalen is one of one and I would put Jalen on anybody in the history of our game," Morris said.
"That's just how I feel about Jalen. That has nothing to do with Ja'Marr Chase. That has nothing to do with Tee Higgins. That has nothing to do with Tyler Boyd. They should feel the same way ... It just so happens we're going to dictate the terms that day because we're going to decide within these next couple of weeks of practice and let's get to the game and figure it out and let the best man win."
