The Dallas Stars showed a great game and achieved a victory over the Chicago Blackhawks with a score of 6-4. Stars coach Peter DeBoer is pleased with the performance of his team. "That's a great win for our group going into the Thanksgiving break," Stars coach Peter DeBoer said, as quoted by NHL.com.
"Those kinds of wins galvanize you. They test your character, they test your gumption. "It would have been easy to mail it in after two [periods] and just go home for Thanksgiving for a day before we went back at it, but we didn't, and we got rewarded for that." Max Domi, a Chicago Blackhawks player, believes that the opposing team used their chances.
"We had no business losing that game," Domi said. "When you're dominating a team like that, they're going to bounce back. They're going to have a push. "That's a heck of a hockey club over there that has a lot of veteran players that know how to stay in games.
You've got to give credit to them, but that's a game we've got to find a way to win and close that one out."
Seth Jones on his team
Seth Jones is not happy with how they reacted to the opposing team's attacks. "We've just got to learn how to play with the lead," Jones said.
"We've got to defend hard and make the little plays that win you hockey games, getting pucks in, getting pucks out of our zone. They obviously turned up the pressure and we couldn't handle it." Mason Marchment believes that his team did everything that was needed.
"It was a good team effort to come back," Marchment said. "We were winning battles in the third there, and it was making it easier for us to transition and turn to offense there."
