Kylian Mbappé is about to renew his contract with PSG at very high figures. Indeed, no! Le Parisien reports on the very close agreement between PSG and the 1998-born striker, which expires on June 30th. It looked like the 23-year-old French soccer star was set to be signed by Real Madrid next season, especially after Real knocked out PSG from the Champions League.
PSG did everything to keep Mbappé, with a sensational renewal proposal made by chairmar Al Khelaifi, with a 2-year contract plus 1 option, with a salary of 50 million euros as a fixed part and in addition also a loyalty bonus from 100 million euros to be spread over the duration of the new contract, with a total of 250 million.
Fayza Lamary, mother of the French striker, in an interview with Marca.com, denied everything: "It is completely false that Kylian has renewed." Ms. Lamary also tweeted: "There is no agreement in principle with Paris Saint-Germain or any other club.
The discussions about Kylian's future continue in an atmosphere of great serenity to allow him to make the best choice, respecting all parts."
Mbappé with the clubs has won five French championships (2016-17, 2017-18, 2018-19, 2019-20, 2021-22), two French League Cups (2017-18 and 2019-20), three French Cups (2017-18, 2019-20 and 2020-21) and three French Super Cups (2018, 2019 and 2020).
With the French national team he participated in a world championship (2018), winning it, a European championship (2020) and two UEFA Nations League (2018-19 and 2020-21), winning the 2020-2021 edition. Before joining the senior national team, he was European champion in 2016 with the Under-19 national team.
In 2018 he won the inaugural edition of the Kopa Trophy, as well as finishing fourth in the Balon d'Or ranking. Born in Bondy, in the French region of Île-de-France, Kylian grew up in a sports family from Cameroon and Algeria.
His father Wilfried, in fact, plays the role of manager in the AS Bondy football team, while his mother Fayza was a handball professional. His father's brother, Pierre, is also a sports manager of Sedan and his adoptive brother is former footballer Jirès Kembo Ekoko, who was adopted by Kylian's father as a teenager.
