Erling Haaland is a new Manchester City soccer player. The English club managed by Pep Guardiola has published a press release on its website and Twitter profile, formalizing that it has reached an agreement with Borussia Dortmund for the transfer of the Norwegian striker, who will be a new Citizens player from July 2, 2022.
Manchester City can confirm that we have reached an agreement in principle with Borussia Dortmund for the transfer of striker Erling Haaland to the Club on 1st July 2022.
The transfer remains subject to the Club finalising terms with the player.

Considered one of the greatest talents in world football, Haaland grew up in the youth sector of Bryne, with whom he made his professional debut, before moving to Molde in 2017, where he played for two seasons.
In 2019 he was bought by Salzburg, with whom he won an Austrian championship and an Austrian Cup in 2018-2019. In 2020 he moved to Borussia Dortmund, with whom he won a German Cup in 2020-2021 and established himself as one of the youngest and at the same time prolific forwards in circulation.
On an individual level he won the German League Player of the Year award in 2020-21 and the UEFA Champions League top scorer in 2020-21 as well as being included in the UEFA Champions League team of the season in 2020- 2021.
Haaland represented Norway at youth level, in the Under-15s, Under-16s, Under-17s, Under-18s, Under-19s, Under-20s and Under-21s. As for this last selection, he made his debut on 11 September 2018, being deployed as a starter in the 3-1 victory at Azerbaijan, a valid challenge for qualifying for the 2019 European championship.
With the national team, at the Under-20 World Cup, on May 30, 2019, he scored 9 goals in the match played against Honduras, won 12-0 by the Scandinavian national team, resulting in the top scorer at the end of the tournament.
In the following August, he was called up for the first time by the Swedish coach Lars Lagerbäck in the Norwegian national team, where he made his debut on 5 September of the same year, playing as a starter in the match won 2-0 at home against Malta.
