Antonio Conte on Harry Kane: “He's arriving at the World Cup with.."

Harry Kane confirmed his qualities for the umpteenth time in the match against Leeds United. He will be one of Gareth Southgate's most important assets at the World Cup. There are huge expectations from him, but also from the rest of the team.

Antonio Conte only had words of praise for Kane at the end of the match. “I have to be honest, in this period Harry played a really important role,” Conte told a post-match press conference as quoted by eurosport.com
“If we finished this period in the top four and qualified for the top four, I think we have to praise Harry a lot because we have had many injuries at the front.

Tottenham: I think Kane is ready

Tottenham are missing several important players, but Conte has managed to produce good results despite injuries. Harry Kane has been the main player of this team for several years, and it's a wonder he's still in the team.

Loyalty seems to be his strong point. “[Dejan] Kulusevski only played this game, we lost Richarlison and without Lucas [Moura] from the start. Sonny [Son Heung-min] you know also, he struggled a bit in the start of the season.
“I think Harry honestly deserves great praise because he is always an important player but in this period, there was a lot of weight on his shoulders and he played in a great way."

The England team has the biggest ambitions this year. They will go to the very end, and it must be admitted that they have a team that can match everyone. However, the World Cup can be strange, so the English will have to be careful.

“He's arriving at the World Cup with plenty of enthusiasm, in a great physical condition and he's mentally stronger.
“I think he's ready and I can see it in his eyes, he's ready to be the protagonist”.
