A Humorous Encounter with Football Greats
Haaland's five-goal performance, along with goals from Ilkay Gundogan and Kevin De Bruyne, sealed the spectacular win over the Bundesliga side. During his interview with the CBS panel, Haaland playfully joked with the Premier League legend Thierry Henry and former defenders Jamie Carragher and Micah Richards. "It’s an amazing feeling, I think you are the only one [Henry] that maybe knows how to score a lot of goals," quipped the Norwegian.
Discussing his goal-scoring prowess, Haaland added, "My super strength is scoring goals. A lot of it is being quick in the mind and trying to put it where the goalkeeper is not. I was so tired after my celebrations."

Manchester City's Striking Sensation Wows Legends
Manchester City's manager, Pep Guardiola, was asked to comment on Haaland's performance.
"If he achieves this milestone at 22, 23, it will be boring his life. He wouldn't have a target to reach in the future. Here and everywhere. That's why I make a substitution. I didn't know about Messi with Leverkusen (when he scored five against them in 2012), but I make a substitution because normally when the game is over we want them to play.
He scored five goals. The problem is every time we don't score two or three he will be criticised. This is the reality." he remarked. At the conclusion of the interview, Henry removed his glove, greeted Haaland, and bowed to the outstanding forward.
Following the match, Haaland joined an exclusive club, becoming only the third player in history to score five goals in a UEFA Champions League match. He follows in the footsteps of Lionel Messi (Barcelona, March 2012 against Bayer Leverkusen) and Luiz Adriano (Shakhtar, October 2014, against BATE Borisov). With a total of 39 goals this season, Haaland is now Manchester City's top scorer in a single season.
