Pep Guardiola is ready for the UEFA Champions League final: "We have to win!"

Pep Guardiola spoke exclusively to Sky Sport about the upcoming UEFA Champins League final between his Manchester City and Inter Milan. In the interview, the Spanish manager spoke about the challenge and how his club is doing: "The Champions League final is a pleasure as is tactical preparation, finding solutions.

They are the most beautiful things. It's not a matter of preparation but to arrive mentally well. The approach will be completely different in other matches. We arrive calmly and will give everything in the 95 minutes. If I don't win, will it be a failure? Everyone says it.

It doesn't leave me sad, we are used to what people say. We have to live with this. We accept it and move on. If I win the Champions League does that mean my job is done in Manchester? We have renewed because we are happy with it.

Here is everything a trainer needs. Whatever happens we will continue together doing our best. When you win you are good, when you lose no. Here they leave you some time. Some want us to win, some don't. Some like us and others don't: but that's not a problem.

It's the last match of the season, we have to play it: whoever wins will get the crown, what matters is what needs to be done to beat Inter. There are a few days left, it's a dream for us to be here: we were there two years ago and there was a different situation due to Covid.

We'll try to do our best, in the final it's how you behave in that match, not the story: in history, Inter are better than us, but what you have to do counts. There are 95 minutes in which you have to be stronger than your opponent: other things don't count, you have to be stronger in that game.

Walker? He had a back problem, yesterday he wasn't well. Today he was a little better. We didn't want to risk it and we'll see in the next few days." In an interview with UEFA, Guardiola said: "We have to win the Champions League, we can't avoid it.

Many clubs have destroyed projects and ideas because they have not been able to win this competition and many have become great clubs because they have succeeded. I think so, I understand that everything we've done all these years, which has been great, will only make sense to others if we win.

If we don't win, things will seem to make less sense, it's a bit unfair but we have to accept it. We have to accept that, if we want to take a definitive step and be a great club, we have to win in Europe. The most important thing is to always be there.

Two years ago we were there, two years later we're back. We'll try again and the most important thing. The important thing is to be back here in a few years. That's what makes you a great club: year after year, you get to the last stages of the Champions League and maybe even win the title."
