Joel Embiid, popularly known as “The Process,” made a stunning comeback after a sprained right ankle. His performance against the Chicago Bulls was nothing short of spectacular, boasting 31 points, 15 rebounds, and 10 assists.

This impressive stat line underlines his pivotal role in the Philadelphia 76ers' 110-97 victory on Tuesday night. Embiid's presence on the court was immediately felt. The Sixers, who had a mixed performance during their holiday road trip with a 2-2 record, clearly benefited from his return.

Their previous encounter with the Bulls, just three nights earlier without Embiid, resulted in a 105-92 loss. The reigning NBA MVP's impact was undeniable – turning what might have been a closely contested game into an early blowout, even as the Bulls played without their injured guard Zach LaVine.

The first quarter set the tone for the rest of the game, with the 76ers racing to a 43-18 lead, while the Bulls struggled, missing all 10 attempts from the 3-point line. This early surge by the Sixers was a testament to their aggressive and cohesive play, a style that has brought them several comfortable wins recently.

A Dominant Team Effort

The 76ers have shown a pattern of securing substantial leads and maintaining them, a trend evident in their recent games, including the historic 44-point win against LeBron James and his team in November.

This game was no exception. With Embiid leading the charge, the Sixers displayed a remarkable team effort. They made 12 of their first 16 shots and started 7 of 9 on 3-point range, securing a 25-point lead by the end of the first quarter.

Notably, Embiid wasn’t the only player shining on the court. Tyrese Maxey contributed significantly with 21 points. DeMar DeRozan led the Bulls with 16 points, but his efforts were overshadowed by the Sixers' dominance.

Embiid’s performance was a clear reminder of his importance to the team. His commitment to playing as many games as possible, despite recent injuries, speaks volumes about his dedication.
