The Spanish tennis player Rafael Nadal has been out for some time now, the date of his return seemed set but now there are new important doubts. A few days ago the organizers of the Montecarlo tournament, Masters 1000 staged between 9 and 16 April, said they were sure about his participation.
Toni Nadal himself, the tennis player's uncle and historic former coach, said he was almost certain of his presence but now it was Rafa himself who cast important doubts on his participation in the tournament. In these hours Rafa held an event with his foundation and on this occasion he spoke to the media about his physical conditions, denying everyone and worrying his fans again.
Here are his words: "I don't know who said this information, but at the moment I can't confirm it. The reality is that I'm following my course and I don't know when I'll really play again, this is the truth. I'm working and growing.
But I can't give you at the moment, I honestly don't know".
Rafael Nadal and his comeback
Nadal doesn't want to disappoint his fans and only wants to return in good condition. In Australia Rafa suffered an important injury, a problem with the iliopsoas muscle and his return is not so simple.
Nadal continued: "I can't confirm that I will play in Monte Carlo, we are seeing the situation day after day. I prefer to make announcements and say things only when I really know them." Nadal has already missed this tournament in 2022 and it must also be said that Rafa would in any case start from the first round as only the top 8 seeds in the tournament are entitled to the Bye.
Rafael Nadal's main focus this season is probably the Roland Garros, the final act of the clay season. Rafa Nadal, together with Novak Djokovic and Carlos Alcaraz, is the big favorite for the final victory of the tournament and wants to confirm the title conquered last year in Paris. Both fans and insiders hope that the tennis player can return in the best possible condition.
