The latest on Rafael Nadal

It's really not an easy time for the Spanish champion who has had to struggle with various injuries this season and who is constantly postponing his return to the field week after week. Only a few hours ago the Spanish tennis player announced his forfeit at the Madrid tournament and had posted the following post on social media: "As you know I suffered a serious injury in Australia.

Initially the recovery period was supposed to be between six and eight weeks, but instead we are now at 14 weeks. The reality is that the situation is very different from what we expected. So we are in this difficult situation.

After missing several tournaments, I also have to withdraw from the Madrid tournament. The injury is still not understood and I can't fully understand what I have to do to get back to playing. I can't give deadlines, also because if I knew I would say it, but I don't know how things will go.

I was training until a few days ago, but given the situation we decided to change our ways and continue with the treatments. Then we will see how things evolve, in the hope that things improve. Here's how things really are and we await the evolution of this situation." Rafa aspires to return to the field and the hope of the tennis player and all his fans is to return to the field soon, perhaps at Roland Garros where Nadal has repeatedly won and hopes to be in the best condition possible.
