Eugene 2022: Sydney McLaughlin breaks world record in 400 hurdles

Sydney McLaughlin broke the world record in the 400 hurdles at the World Championships in Eugene, Oregon. The American won the gold medal in 50.68, improving by 73 cents the previous record she raced last 25 June on the Eugene track.

Sydney thus becomes the first woman to go under the 51 '' barrier. Behind her, silver to the Dutch Femke Bol (52.27), bronze to the other American Dalilah Muhammad (53.13) United States does not win the men's 4x100 title which goes to Canada Olympic vice-champion.
