Jan Blachowicz ended up as the one who will probably be next in line to attack the light heavyweight belt, but not in the way he certainly wished. Jan started the first round with kicks, and Rakic made him bleed in the beginning and with a blow under the left eye, which visibly bothered Blachowicz during the whole round.

Alexander also continuously threw kicks and thus collected points from the judges. Both had good moments, and Rakic was the one who pushed the fight forward. In the last minute of the first round, Rakic slowed down a bit and the round ended in a slight advantage for the Serbian fighter.

In the second round, Rakic decided to move the fight to the floor, and while they were on the ground floor, Blachowicz had one good attempt to choke with a triangle, but Rakic managed to get away and continued to punish the Pole.

Rakic threw short kicks and elbows whenever the opportunity arose, and he controlled the fight on the ground relatively easily until the end of the round. In the third round, Jan realized he had to squeeze if he wanted to turn the fight to his advantage.

After a kick and a few left-handed shots, Rakic pulled back and then suddenly injured his knee, after which he fell to the floor with a painful grimace, and the judge soon stopped the fight. Although in the first two rounds Rakic showed dominance and better quality on the ground floor where experts thought that Jan would have his best chance, unfortunately, he failed to register an important victory and get a chance to attack the belt.

Michael Johnson broke his losing streak with an impressive second-round knockout against Alan Patrick. See all the results of the event below.
