Israel Adesanya releases a trailer promoting his match against Cannonier

Somehow, in the shadow of various martial arts events, information about the arranged match between Israel Adesanya and Jared Cannonier passed. It’s about fighting for the title in the UFC middleweight division. Adesanya will be looking for their fifth middleweight belt defense against Cannonier, and that match will lead the UFC 276 event to be held on July 2 (the seventh month) this year.

Cannonier enters the match as the second-ranked middleweight challenger and is currently on a string of two consecutive wins. Since making his middleweight debut in 2018, Cannonier has recorded five wins, with only Robert Whittaker defeating him.

For 38-year-old Jared, this will undoubtedly be the biggest match in his career, and considering his age, he may be the only chance to win the belt. There is no doubt that "Killa Gorilla" will come more ready than ever and Adesanya will not have an easy task.

Adesanya is also in a string of two consecutive wins, and the defeat he suffered before that came in the light heavyweight division. Izzy is undefeated in the middleweight division and is considered by many to be the best fighter on the entire roster.

Apart from martial arts, Adesanya also works a lot on marketing, that is, it tries to make a brand as big as possible from its name. Dissatisfied with Izzy was the way the promotion promoted his rematch against Robert Whittaker, and this time he partially decided to take matters into his own hands.

The UFC middleweight champion shared a promo video on his social media, and it’s a non-UFC-related production. Adesanya paid tribute to the producer under the pseudonym "Stay hydrated", and it must be admitted that he did a great job.

If you don't believe us, see for yourself by watching the video at the bottom of the text. Cannonier (15-5) earned his shot for the title after knocking out Derek Brunson at UFC 271, the same night Adesanya beat Whittaker in their rematch.
