Islam Makhachev reveals his plan vs Charles Oliveira: third round get business done

One of the most anticipated matches of the year will take place at the UFC 280 event at the end of next month in Abu Dhabi, when the lightweight division will finally have its champion. Charles Oliveira and Islam Makhachev will headline this truly spectacular event, and their fight will truly be the highlight of the evening after all the matches that have been confirmed so far.

The lightweight division currently has no champion. Charles Oliveira missed the weigh-in before his match against Justin Gaethje and then won the fight which would have meant he couldn't get the belt due to missing the official weigh-in.

Both fighters are probably more than motivated to take the belt in one of the best categories in the UFC, and Islam Makhachev revealed on his Twitter profile a more detailed plan on how he intends to bring the belt into his possession that evening.

"First round warm up, second round drag him to deep water, third round get business done Inshallah Can’t wait for Oct 22'' wrote Makhachev.

‘Do Bronx’ may not make it to fight night

Former UFC lightweight champion and now retired Khabib believes that Oliveira will not appear in Abu Dhabi at all, and he also said who they intend to replace him with: "I just think Charles Oliveira will not show up in Abu Dhabi and the UFC will replace Charles with Beneil Dariush.

Regardless of who the opponent will be, @MAKHACHEVMMA is on his way to becoming the best in the world #ufc280'' Khabib wrote on his Twitter profile. Islam has been waiting for this opportunity for a very long time.

Ever since his beginnings, he has been seen as Khabib Nurmagomedov's successor, and he has a chance to become that next month. According to the bookmakers, he is the favorite, but 'Do Bronx' has already proven too many times that the coefficients do not say much when he is in the cage.

He entered many fights as an "underdog", and each time he left the cage with the belt. This will be a truly impressive show, and for now, it is certainly one of the best this year.
