It looks like another great career has come to an end. According to some well-known journalists, Aldo has retired even though he has one more fight left in his UFC contract. Aldo spent the last thirteen years in the UFC, where he was the champion.

Aldo fights probably all the biggest names in his division, and he is often cited as one of the best fighters, and his legacy will surely be remembered for a long time to come. “He didn’t need it since that fight, much less now,” Pederneiras said.

“I’d tell him to stop. I think Aldo has already conquered a lot and it won’t be this last fight [against Dvalishvili] that will take away his legacy in the sport”. Pederneiras said.

Aaron Bronsteter and Luke Thomas broke the news.

"Jose Aldo has been removed from the UFC fan rankings pool.

The most recent news on Aldo was that his coach felt he should retire, but thought he may want to fight out his contract with one last fight in Rio at UFC 283." wrote Aaron Bronsteter.

Luke wrote that Jose retired with one more fight under his UFC contract, and noted that he retired with a record of 31-8 and was undefeated from the fifth month of 2006 to the twelfth month of 2015.

After a successful career in the WEC, Aldo moved to the UFC in 2011, and featherweight was his new category. From the fourth month of 2011 to the tenth month of 2015, he held the title in the UFC and defended it seven times, and it was taken from him by Conor McGregor.

After that, at the UFC 200 event, Aldo became the first-time champion by defeating Frankie Edgar, and after McGregor's belt was taken away, Aldo became the champion once again. This was followed by a fight against Max Holloway, which he lost, and he also lost the rematch.

Then Aldo left for the bantam category after losing to Alexander Volkanovski, and he has remained there to this day. In his rich career, he was at a high level until the last day and fought with the best fighters in the division.
