Conor McGregor got completely angry with Anthony Smith for the statements that he probably uses doping, and it all happened on Conor's Twitter profile. He called Conor Smith a bum, a loser on that occasion and mocked his injury from the match against Ankalaev, which of course raised a lot of dust.
Conor has not fought since his last loss to Dustin Poirier, where he suffered a severe leg fracture and the recovery was truly long, and when he returned to training, he gained an unprecedented amount of muscle mass and raised many doubts.
“If there’s something out there that could help me heal that I could do legally, I totally would, because I would heal a lot faster,” Smith said on Michael Bisping’s “Believe You Me” podcast.
“But it’s not even his reasoning that I’m questioning. “What bugs me is that guys like Anderson (Silva) and guys like Chris Weidman and myself have had lots of bad injuries, and we didn’t have the ability to just step out of the USADA pool, get yourself healed, and then come back with no repercussions”.
“Did he break any rules? You’re (Bisping) the one who played devil’s advocate. You said ‘technically’ he’s not breaking any rules,” Smith said. “That’s because different rules apply to him.
I don’t have that capability, or at least I didn’t think”. McGregor still does not have an agreed-upon opponent, and he will return to USADA's program only in the first quarter of next year. It is expected that he could return, but in the welterweight category, the fight against Masvidal was often mentioned.
"I am clear for testing in February. I will complete my two tests per USADA and we are booking a fight." McGregor tweeted.
Anthony Smith: There's only one reason Conor is 'jacked as sh*t'
“It bothers the f*ck out of me – like that he pulled himself out of the USADA pool,” Smith said on Michael Bisping’s “Believe You Me” podcast.
“There’s only one reason you would do that. He’s looking jacked as sh*t. You keep seeing videos of him flexing in front of mirrors and screaming and he’s huge. He healed really fast. Like, really fast. “(Chris) Weidman still hasn’t (from his broken leg).
I talked to Weidman today. He’s still having struggles. He’s still struggling to get back. Anderson (Silva) took a long time. Corey Hill took a long time. Anybody who’s broken their leg has taken a long time. He’s seemingly pretty healed up.
It just bugs me that he gets to jump out of the pool, juice up on whatever he’s juiced on, and then just jump back in the pool and no one’s going to say sh*t about it? I don’t know. It’s weird. It bothers me”.
