UFC 282's official poster has been released

A big blow and a big disappointment was caused by the injury of Jiri Prochazka, who had to cancel his appearance at the UFC 282 event, and renounced the title of champion of the UFC light heavyweight category. Prochazka was scheduled to defend his title against Glover Teixeira, whom he stripped in the sixth month of this year, but a shoulder injury will keep Prochazka out of the cage for about a year, according to initial estimates.

The UFC was quick to react to the loss of the main event of the night, as well as the loss of the champion. Jan Blachowicz and Magomed Ankalaev were supposed to fight in the co-title fight of the evening, and their match was supposed to serve as a kind of "title eliminator".

Glover Teixeira was originally offered a fight against Ankalaev, and Blachowicz would probably be without an opponent at that event. Glover did not agree to fight Ankalaev on such "short notice", because Ankalaev is a left-hander who fights from the counter-guard and is a significantly different type of opponent than Prochazka.

Glover insisted on the match against Blachowicz because he fought him in the tenth month of last year and knows him well. The UFC rejected that option, and the match between Blachowicz and Ankalaev was promoted to the main fight of the evening and at the same time the fight for the light heavyweight title.

One of the first modifications came in the form of the official poster for the event. The UFC 282 event now has a new official poster, and as expected, Blachowicz and Ankalaev are in the foreground.
