Gilbert Burns Calls Out Colby Covington After Win Over Neil Magny

Gilbert Burns, who competed against Neil Magny tonight at UFC 283, is absolutely necessary for the Brazilian event to make sense. In the main event of this fantastic evening, these two ranked welterweight fighters faced off, but Magny was simply unable to handle everything Burns had to offer.

Gilbert returned with victories after he was defeated by Khamzat Chimaev in the fourth month of last year, and he himself announced that he will finish Magny relatively quickly but attractively and that he hopes that this will bring him a new attack on the welterweight title.

Burnes vs Magny

Visibly longer fighter Magny opened the fight with several low kicks from a distance, while Burns was quite reserved in the first part of the first round. Burns started to come in with a few punches, and in the end, he got knocked down, and Magny defended himself solidly at the very beginning.

Burns managed to get into side mount and pressed Magny with his shoulder and managed to get into mount and had his right hand trapped on the floor. Gilbert caught an arm triangle choke and after a few seconds Magny was forced to tap.

Burns won by "submission" in the first round, and after the fight he said that everyone is running away from him and that one day he will be the champion. He also announced that he would finish anyone who stood in front of him, and he called out Colby Covington in particular “This is Brazil.

There is no other way,” Burns shouted following his win. “For everyone running away from me, I’m coming. I’m going to be the champ. These guys aren’t on my level”. “I want to be back very quick and I’m going to finish everybody,” Burns said. “Colby Covington, I’m coming for you!”
