The notorious Conor Mcgregor really wants to fight in the 170-175 pounds range and add the UFC welterweight belt to his collection. After suffering through a nasty ankle injury, his continuation in the world of MMA seemed to have ended, and most even thought that this was the end of his prestigious career.

But Conor McGregor never fails to make a return, and this time he shall continue to do the same. The exact date of Conor McGregor's return to the ring hasn't been announced yet, but it is most likely to take place after the TUF season 31 ends.

He is fighting Michael Chandler, but it is not yet disclosed if it is to be a welterweight or lightweight bout. Recently on Ariel Helwani's show, The MMA hour, Conor McGregor showed his interest in fighting for the welterweight.

Ariel helwani asked him" You win this fight, do you get a title shot?" to which Conor replied" Yeah, I'd like a welterweight title shot". Conor McGregor has mentioned about fighting Kamaru Usman, and he will have an eye on the winner between Kamaru Usman and Leon Edwards.

A comprehensive victory against chandler shall open up many doors for Conor McGregor. Conor McGregor may show up for the UFC 286 event, happening this weekend, as he is going to be there for business purposes. Interestingly, Conor McGregor was supposed to be fighting Nate Diaz, but because Diaz ended his contract with the UFC, that matchup is unlikely to happen; however, it is a potential fight for the future.
