UFC 287 is absolutely stacked, and the co-main event is a crucial decider for Masvidal and Burns to compete in the welterweight division. A win for either one will set them on track to getting a title shot. Masvidal really needs to win because he is on a 3-match losing streak, and he last won in 2019; apart from that, he wants a title shot, and a victory can make increase the likelihood of it happening.

Recently on Ariel helwani's show, The MMA Hour, Jorge Masvidal spoke about a wide range of things. "I love Dana, but Dana says a lot of things, man. History says one thing: whoever makes the most noise when they fight, whoever sells the most pay-per-views, and whoever fans want to see at the end of the day, that's who'll get the title shot".

Masvidal said.

Masvidal expects Leon Edwards to call him out

"On top of that, as I recall, champions have always called the shots, and Colby is only a champion of calling the cops. That b***h p***yass motherf***er. So, I'm just going to continue to do me.

I'm going to go out there and break f*****g Gilbert's face, then Leon's gonna call my name out, and I'm gonna go fight Leon for this belt, and that's it". Jorge Masvidal will definitely have to face more opponents; winning against gilbert burns won't be enough.

At some point, the MMA world and all fights fans can definitely expect a rematch between Colby Covington and Jorge Masvidal; no one would want to miss out on the intense rivalry. "Colby can just sit in his timeout box until they call his a** up to fight me again" Masvidal said.

UFC 287 is scheduled for 8th April at the Miami-Dade Arena in Miami, Florida; Alex Pereira vs Israel Adesanya is the main event. An exciting event for all fans and MMA enthusiasts, Colby Covington will closely watch his former friend fight, and it will be interesting to see if Leon Edwards actually does end up calling out Masvidal.
