The president of UFC, Dana White, surprisingly shared a healthy response to Kamaru Usman’s recent Call out. ‘The Nigerian Nightmare’ wants to fight the undefeated Khamzat Chimaev; no one would want to miss out on this matchup; fans should cross their fingers and hope for the UFC to announce it in the distant future.

Usman needs to break out of his losing streak and build up his winning momentum; after proving himself in a few more matches, he can surely get a title shot in the welterweight division.

Recently on The Jim Rowe Show, Dana White speaks about the potential match between Kamaru Usman and Khamzat Chimaev and explains under what conditions he would expect that match to happen.

“What I hate about that fight and [Usman] calling him out, Usman is calling him out at a catchweight — I don’t do catchweights, I don’t like catchweights,” White said, as quoted by mmafighting.com. “Catchweights mean nothing.

They mean absolutely nothing”. “If [Usman] wants to move up to 185 and fight [Chimaev], we could talk about it. But trying to fight him at a catchweight, I’m not interested in”. Kamaru Usman is a welterweight contender, and it will be very interesting to see if he makes a jump into the middleweight division to fight Khamzat Chimaev.

It is one of the best matchups, and fans can expect fireworks of striking in every round. Khamzat Chimaev faced Gilbert Burns at welterweight, and that was an explosive match where both fighters gave their all and impressed the MMA world with an uncompromising fight ethic.

It was a very close knock; however, in the end, Chimaev was announced the winner via unanimous decision. Since it was so close, burns deserves a rematch. Interestingly, Khamzat Chimaev was expected to face Leon Edwards back in 2020, but the match got cancelled due to COVID-19 complications.
